Romans 6:23
Did you hear about the pair of robbers who entered a record shop nervously waving their pistols. The first robber shouted, “Nobody move!” When his partner moved, the first bandit was startled and shot him!
Lord have mercy. But it all goes to prove the scripture that tells us that sin absolutely does not pay. Everything may look like we can pull off the deal, but someone is going to get hurt because sin never pays. God declares, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” (Galatians 6:7, 8). No one is perfect so we confess our sins daily. (I John 1:9). But the bird that thinks he can habitually sin and get away with it, will not only get shot, he will lose his soul in the process. Listen to God and shape up because “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). The only safe way is God’s way.
