Results Of Being Born Again
Dear fellow worker of the Christian Worship Hour:
Jesus said: “Ye must be born again.” John 3:7
From the writings of Pastor Salem:
When we are born again and become a child of God, we become rich. Peter tells us about some of
these riches in I Peter chapter one. Let me mention seven of them:
v WE HAVE A LIVING HOPE. V 3. Peter knew what it was like to have a dead hope. He saw the risen Christ at Galilee, not dead but alive, alive forever. (John 21:15). When we become a child of God, we have a Savior Who is alive and will never die again. (Revelation 1:8).
v WE HAVE AN ETERNAL INHERITANCE. V 4. Long after this world is consumed by fire, our inheritance will be secure. (II Peter 3:10). Peter tells us it is “incorruptible” (will never perish); is “undefiled” (can never spoil); “fadeth not away” (never wither or dry up); is ‘reserved in heaven’ (kept in heaven by the power of God). Forget the safety deposit box, our treasures are in heaven kept by the power of God Himself. (Matthew 5:20).
v WE HAVE GOD’S TENDER CARE. V 5. We are “kept by the power of God”. God becomes our Father when we accept His Son. And what a wonderful Father He is. David put it this way, “Like as a Father pitieth His children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him” (Psalm 103:13). It is impossible for human fathers to know exactly, precisely how we feel---but not our Heavenly Father. How rich we are to have a Father who “knoweth our frame, that we are dust”. (Psalm 103:14).
v WE HAVE GROWING, GLOWING FAITH. Vs 5,7. Jesus told us that in this life we would have troubles and trials. (John 16:33). We all pass through them to one degree or another. God could make it so that we never had sorrow, but instead He gives us a faith to not only live through them, but grow in grace. That is a treasure the world does not have. (I Peter 4:31). The longer we walk with the Lord the stronger our faith becomes. (Proverb 4:18).
v WE HAVE AN EVER PRESENT SAVIOR. V 8. To know that Jesus is always with me, will never desert me, is worth all the riches of the world and more! (Hebrews13:5). Jesus will never forsake His own. (Matthew 28:20). We forsake Him, but He does not forsake us. That is riches money cannot buy, but grace can bestow. (Luke 9:25, Ephesians 2:8).
v WE HAVE A SURE SALVATION. V 9. To know that I am saved and going to heaven, are riches beyond measure. Jesus said if we gained the whole world, it would not equal the value of one precious soul! When Jesus saves us, He is giving us salvation that exceeds all the riches of the world put together. (Matthew 16:26).
v WE HAVE PEACE AT HEART. Vs 10-12. The prophets of old prophesied as God told them, they never understood the prophecy, but inquired into it. They had no place about the matter. But today, we know the whole story and have peace with God. (John 14:27). You can’t buy peace at heart at Wal-Mart, but you can get it free when you come to Jesus!
So, we thank God for those “unsearchable riches in Christ.” Ephesians 3:8. We are rich, But woe unto us if we take these riches and then not share them!
Three ways to share God’s riches:
· PRAY for the Christian Worship Hour ministry daily.
· GIVE as the Lord lays it upon your heart, liberally.
· TELL others about the service, joyfully.
In our Savior’s love,
Pastor Salem
WHY SHOULD WE FORGIVE?
I love the parables that Jesus told. The lessons they leave are eternal.
For instance, the parable of the two debtors. (Luke 7:40-50). One owed the moneylender $5,000 and the other $50. They both borrowed from the same lender. When the debts came due, neither could pay, they were both bankrupt. So the lender cancelled their debts! Unbelievable!
The lesson for us is that we are all bankrupt sinners before God. God has made it possible for all of us to be forgiven by receiving His Son Jesus. Salvation is a gift from God through Jesus. It also teaches us that anyone can come to Jesus for forgiveness, no matter how much the sin debt might be.
We must never think that God will not accept us if we come to Jesus for pardon. God assures us that, “Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37). David prayed, “For thy name’s sake O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.” (Psalm 25:11). But, you have to come to Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins. I pray that you will come.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
from the writings of Pastor Salem…
What must I do to be saved? The question really is, “What must I do to be saved from hell”. It is the most important question we will ever ask. So, God tells us in the Bible what we must do to go to heaven.
v YOU MUST REALIZE YOUR NEED. That you are a poor, lost sinner filled with sins and that God will never ever receive you into heaven with those sins. (Romans 3:23).
v YOU MUST BE WILLING TO TURN FROM YOUR SINS. Jesus called it “repentance” (Matthew 4:17). Repentance means that we turn from all known sin and follow Jesus. (Luke 4:47).
v YOU MUST BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED FOR YOU. That He went to the cross, shed His blood for your sins. We must believe that He died and that He rose again the third day. (I Corinthians 15:3, 4).
v YOU MUST INVITE HIM TO COME INTO YOUR HEART. By a simple prayer, using your own words, nothing fancy; ask Him to come into your heart and take away your sins. (Revelation 3:20). Pray something like this:
Dear Jesus, I am sorry for my sins.
I ask You to come into my heart and take them all away.
I promise to forsake all known sin and follow you.
Thank You Jesus. Amen.
v YOU MUST THANK HIM FOR SAVING YOUR SOUL. Praise Him for His mercy and grace! And tell someone of your decision. (Matthew 10:32).
If you have not done so, I hope you will receive Jesus now----right now!
God tells us: “Behold, now is the accepted time;
Behold, now is the day of salvation.” (II Corinthians 6:2).
